Modern organic and medicinal chemistry relies heavily on metal-catalyzed reaction types to build up complex, biologically active compounds. As these reaction types are usually very substrate-dependent and still an active field of academic research, resulting in constant development of new ligands and catalysts, finding suitable reaction conditions for the construction of a desired compound can be challenging and resource-intensive. High-throughput screening for feasible reaction conditions can offer a time- and material-saving solution, but requires specialized facilities and know-how that not every company can provide in-house.
